Information we collect
Text character cards and watermarked previews work without an account. Where offered, a guest can buy one preview's original for $1 without signing in. We save the payment partner's order number and buyer email for billing support and reconciliation; card details are collected by our payment partner, not us. For credit-based images, signing in with Google, Discord or Microsoft gives us your email and name, or you can create a username/password account. We store salted password and recovery-answer hashes, not readable passwords. We store submitted image descriptions, images and account credit balances. If you answer an optional poll about future products and leave an email, we keep it only to send you that one note. Server logs, analytics events and support messages are processed to operate the site.
Generated content
Text you enter into the OC maker is sent to our servers and to an AI text-model provider to write your character card, and is screened by our payment provider's content check first. We do not store the text or the card. Do not enter private, sensitive, or confidential information.
Your data rights
You can ask support@ocmakerlab.com for a copy, correction or deletion of the personal data we hold, including account details, submitted image descriptions, images and credit history. Write from the account email; for a username account include the username and we may ask about recent activity. Guest buyers should include their order number and checkout email so we can verify the request. We aim to answer within 30 days. To close an account, use the subject "Delete my account"; we delete the account, balance, descriptions and images. Our merchant of record separately retains payment records as tax and accounting law requires.
Data storage and security
Account records and credit history are kept in a managed PostgreSQL database. Images are stored in Cloudflare R2 or private database storage. Unpaid previews are normally available for 24 hours; starting guest checkout extends availability to at least two hours from checkout creation. Expired unclaimed previews are removed when later previews are created. Guest-paid originals and their order number and buyer email are kept for 90 days from payment and are then inaccessible and eligible for removal. The original is accessible in the purchasing browser or using its private download link; anyone with that link can download it, so keep it private. A random browser cookie and session storage preserve the preview across sign-in and checkout. Originals unlocked with account credits remain linked to the account until account deletion. The site uses HTTPS, with database and storage access restricted to the operator. Prompts and images pass through fal.ai for generation; we do not sell personal data.
